Maryam’s Story: A Little Girl with a Big Heart

Maryam is a brave 13 years old girl who has faced more challenges than most children her age. She suffered a stroke that led to brain atrophy, leaving her with a disability in her left hand. In addition to this, she struggles with epilepsy, a condition that adds further difficulty to her daily life. But despite these hardships, Maryam’s spirit remains strong.

She finds joy in drawing, creating beautiful pictures that express her imagination and emotions. She also adores dolls, especially Elsa and Anna from Frozen, who remind her of the magic of dreams and sisterly love.

Maryam is not alone—she has two loving sisters. Her younger sister, Amal, is in the second grade and is a bright and hardworking student who excels in her studies. Their older sister helps care for Maryam, offering love and support in every way she can.

The three children live with their mother in a house that is in desperate need of renovation. The walls can’t keep out the cold in winter, and when it rains, the roof fails to protect them. The family struggles daily, not just with medical challenges but also with the basic need for a safe and warm home.
