Sewing Workshop

Empowerment

January 24, 2022

A 35-day sewing workshop was held at our Iraqi Children’s Hope facility to empower widowed women by teaching them skills in sewing, design, and embroidery. This program aimed to equip participants with the means to earn a living and support their families with dignity.

The women demonstrated outstanding commitment, showing up daily with enthusiasm and a strong desire to learn. Their dedication and perseverance were evident as they practiced hands-on techniques and refined their craftsmanship throughout the training period.

This workshop represents a stepping stone toward economic independence and personal growth. By offering opportunities like this, we support women in breaking cycles of hardship and rebuilding their lives with purpose and pride.

We are incredibly proud of each participant and their achievements. Their resilience continues to inspire our mission every day.

Iraqi Children’s Hope remains committed to offering skills training and support to widows and other vulnerable groups. Thank you to all who make our efforts possible—your support fuels change and empowers futures.
