School Uniform Distribution at the Start of the School Year

From the Field

October 30, 2021

In Iraq, wearing a school uniform is a requirement to attend class—but for many vulnerable families, the cost is too high. Countless children are kept out of school simply because their families cannot afford the necessary clothing. That’s why Iraqi Children’s Hope is committed to providing school uniforms and supplies to children in need.

On November 26, 2021, over 300 children—both boys and girls in grades 1 through 7—received new school uniforms at the start of the academic year. These students are either orphaned or come from extremely low-income families and would not have been able to attend school without this support.

With your continued support, we can ensure that more children have the opportunity to receive an education, build a brighter future, and break the cycle of poverty that affects so many families in Iraq. Your generosity can change the course of a child’s life.
