Iraqi Children’s Hope was founded on a simple belief: that no child should be forgotten just because they were born into hardship. From conflict-affected towns to underserved neighborhoods, we work alongside communities to uplift orphans, widowed mothers, and vulnerable youth through care, education, and opportunity.
What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a national movement—led by volunteers, sustained by generosity, and grounded in dignity. This is who we are, and why we do what we do.

Where We Work
Areas of Operation
The Basra center hosts our flagship after‑school tutoring program—supporting hundreds of orphans and vulnerable youth with educational assistance, mental‑health screening, therapy referrals, distribution of school supplies, and much more!
The Samawah team coordinates essential aid projects—such as Ramadan food‑basket distributions reaching thousands of families—as well as vocational training workshops for widows that empower them to earn income through skills like sewing and barbering.
Iraqi Children’s Hope is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Alexandria, VA. From here, the U.S. team leads global fundraising, strategy, volunteer coordination, and donor relations to support programs in Iraq.
